With a fulfilling job and a home of her own, former foster child, Merritt Hastings, relishes her stable, respectable life. Dreaming for more is a sure way for heartache. When a contested will turns her world upside down, she must revaluate what’s important to her, what’s worth fighting for, and what’s worth sacrificing.
Patience has never been Sam Daniels’ strong suit with his history of acting quickly and asking questions later, and he’s ready for changes in his life…now. Too bad the plans for acquiring a radio station didn’t include a contract. Now he’s out of a job, out of a radio station, and out of prospects.
While his life is in flux, at least he can help Merritt steady hers, or will he rush in and overstep …again?
Will the sparks flying between these two opposites lead to a happily-ever-after or heartbreak for both?

My Review
Forever Home
By Hope Tyler Dougherty
Book 3 in the Forever series
Rating: 4/5
I received a complimentary copy of this book through a Blind Book Review Tour giveaway. I was able to find it also on KU which was nice too. The story is a heartwarming, honest, charming romance that believes in second chances and redemption from past trauma. The main character was someone who experienced trauma and emotional abuse in her past and the author deals with her development so gently and lovingly the way Father God does with us. Faith is woven throughout but it is not preachy at all. The writing is slower paced than I usually like but the story is well written and helps you delve into the character’s mind. The author goes back and forth between the two main character’s perspectives and the reader can really feel all of the insecurities and doubt with great authenticity. The romance between the two main characters is humorous, charming and will keep you turning to the next page. I have not read the other stories in the this series but did not feel like I needed to in order to enjoy – however, I will definitely be reading more from this author. I also loved all the musical parts – since I play piano too! 😉
Highly recommend if you enjoy clean romance with wit, authenticity and a musical flare.
My thanks to the author and publisher for providing me with an ARC of the book. All opinions expressed here are entirely my own. No positive review was expected and no compensation received.
