About the Author

Traci Hunter Abramson was born in Arizona, where she lived until moving to Venezuela for a study-abroad program. After graduating from Brigham Young University, she worked for the Central Intelligence Agency for several years, eventually resigning in order to raise her family. She credits the CIA with giving her a wealth of ideas as well as the skills needed to survive her children’s teenage years. She has gone on to write more than twenty bestselling novels that have consistently been nominated as Whitney Award finalists and seven-time Whitney Award winner. When she’s not writing, Traci enjoys spending time with her husband and five children, preferably on a nice quiet beach somewhere. Wow. I loved reading this story during the Olympics! Nathan Chen just won Olympic gold and redeemed the horror of his first Olympics four years ago. Who doesn’t like an incredible story of redemption? I loved continuing this story with Tyler and Amaliya chasing after their dreams of Olympic gold. This story moved a lot faster than the first one to get them to the the Olympics. I liked how the author tackled more of the mental aspects of figure skating. I liked how she addressed the mind games from other competitors and all the things that come with celebrity. However, I wish she had included something about seeking counseling after trauma or talking with a sports psychologist. I feel like it was a missed opportunity in an otherwise authentic and exciting script.

Highly recommend if you enjoy the not-so-easy journey to reaching your dreams and dealing with all the obstacles along the way.

Kelsie Stelting does it again! This book was so good! As someone who loves music, I loved seeing the professional side of music tours and management. The characters were amazing and so much fun to get to know. I loved their passion for music and each other. Jude saw Des for who she really was and Des really understood Jude. The issues they had to deal with were very real and relatable.

As someone who loves this series, I highly recommend all of the books and this new one does not disappoint. The author continues to weave inspirational and empowering stories for teenagers (and adults) that you won’t want to miss!

Such an important and inspiring story for young black girls! I was immediately drawn to the incredible illustrations, and I fell in love with the beautiful writing. Azira’s story is an uplifting, positive message about embracing who you are and how God has made you especially when it comes to our differences. This powerful message is wrapped in kid-friendly poetry and eye-catching illustrations!

Highly recommend for all young girls!
